Evergreen Tool & Die
Evergreen Tool & Die is a third-generation tool and die shop in Auckland, New Zealand, building progressive dies, transfer dies, and custom production tooling for automotive, appliance, and consumer-products manufacturers since 2005.
Capabilities
- Tool & die — progressive dies, transfer dies, draw dies, and compound dies; full design, build, tryout, and maintenance.
- EDM — wire EDM (4-axis) and sinker EDM for die plates, inserts, and intricate internal features in hardened tool steels.
- Inspection — CMM, optical comparator, and die-tryout presses to 400 tonnes for sampling and validation.
Materials
D2, A2, and M2 tool steels, O1 drill rod, 4140, and powdered metals; hardened and tempered in-house.
Certifications & Notes
- IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified.
- In-house heat treatment and surface grinding.
- Typical lead time: 8–16 weeks for new die builds; 1–3 weeks for die maintenance and sharpening.
- Tryout presses and sampling available for customer validation before tooling ships.
